We have been
Puppy Raisers for CCI since 1996. Pictured here is Emma (short for
Emeryville). She was our second puppy. She moved on to the Breeding
Program. She recently had 9 puppies including Blade, pictured
below, our 4th puppy. Everyone says, "How can you stand to see them
go?", we have gotten to know many of the people who have received
these dogs and seen the difference in their lives. Yes, it is hard
to see them go, but the greater purpose in life out weighs the
attachment we have to them. |

This is Kayla.
She was our first puppy. She was a beautiful Golden Retriever. We
received her June of 1996 and raised and trained her until July
1997. She is now the proud team mate of Derek, as an assisted
service dog. We get letters and photos and know that she is very
happy with her new family. |

This is Emma,
short for Emeryville, at turn in at North Central on August, 1998.
She had been with us a year. She has gone on to the Breeding
Program. She now lives in Santa Rosa with Julie and her family.
She has had her first litter of 9 puppies in May 1999. One of her
puppies, Blade, is now our 4th CCI puppy. (see photo below).

This is Royal.
Roy, as we call him, has grown into a very well behaved, large dog.
He is perfect for the tasks he needs to perform. Royal graduated
May of 2000 and is now a Service Dog for a lady near Chicago. He
helps her with all her everyday tasks that are hard for her due to
her wheelchair. Royal is her second Companion Dog and she and Royal
will be the perfect team. We are very happy for Royal.

Meet Blade, our
grandson from Emma. He arrived July, 1999 and will be with us for a
year. We can see many similarities between mother and son. He is
very energetic yet loves to slow down and give some love. We are
very lucky to have him. |
 |
Cisco was a
challenge to raise. He had some traits that he just couldn't
overcome. He is retired now and lives with one of our relatives.
They enjoy a very happy life together. |
 |
Annie was not
born with the urge to be a service dog. She just wanted to be
someone's pet. She is happy as a pet and living with a lady who
loves her very much |
 |
Osa was a true
bundle of joy. She loved to do what was asked of her. She has
graduated as a Successor Facility Dog. This means she is a
replacement for someone who previously had a CCI dog. She has been
placed with a Psychologists who works with grieving people. Osa is
able to help this people with her unconditional love. They are a
great team. |
 |
Conner is our
new puppy. He is going to be a Large Dog. He shares the same
father as Cisco and we can see some of the same traits in him. He
seems to enjoy working and looks like he will make a good service
dog. |
